By lot · Draw on 1 September

Three families. This time, the lot decides.

Klar gesehen begins with three founding families from Basel and the surrounding area. Who takes part is not decided by Aline. It’s decided by lot.

These three families receive the complete first week: three home visits, two conversations afterwards, the letter for the hard moments. On a donation basis, which means: Aline expects no payment for it.

Two adults sit facing each other at a wooden table, each holding a cup, soft window light.

Why draw lots?

Because Aline doesn’t want to judge which family “deserves it most”. Every family that reaches out has its reasons, and they weigh heavily. A lot is more honest than a judgement: it takes nothing from anyone and gives three families a beginning.

On a donation basis

The first week costs the three families nothing. Whoever wants to and can afterwards may contribute something, as a donation, in whatever amount feels right. Aline is glad of it, but counts on nothing. The contribution plays no role in the draw.

The one wish

The founding families are asked one single thing: that their story, fully anonymised, without names and without recognisable details, may be told later. So that other parents can understand what this work looks like. Every family reads and approves its text before it appears.

How it works

Take part, until the lot is drawn.

Until 31 August
Fill in the short questionnaire. A few lines are enough to be in the draw.
1 September
Aline draws three families, entirely without regard to person.
Afterwards
Everyone hears from Aline, including those who weren’t drawn. Personally, promised.

The questionnaire

A few lines, that’s all it takes.

Nothing needs to be prepared. If you’d rather speak than write, that works too.

Rather speak?
Confidential, always. · Your details stay with Aline and are used only for the draw.

Thank you — you’re in the draw.

The draw is on 1 September. Aline will be in touch with everyone afterwards, drawn or not. Until then: all the best for your evenings.
