One family every month. The lot decides.

Not every family has the means for this kind of support right now. So every month, Aline draws one Family Scholarship: the complete week for a family from Basel and the surrounding area.

The drawn family receives everything that belongs to it: three home visits, two conversations afterwards, the letter for the hard moments. And what it gives in return, the family decides for itself at the end.

The scholarship is not a launch offer. It is a fixed part of Klar gesehen, month after month.

Why the scholarship exists

In this work, Aline sees every day how much can shift in a family when someone looks closely. And she knows: precisely where the evenings are hardest, the means are sometimes missing. Money deciding who gets seen: that doesn’t fit this work. So every month she gives a complete week away. Not as a gesture, but because this is exactly what she loves: carrying this work into living rooms she would otherwise never reach.

What the family gives, the family decides

The scholarship isn’t free. It is something else: it has no price. At the end, the family itself decides what it can and wants to give: an amount that feels right for them, or nothing at all. Aline counts on nothing, never asks, and nobody has to explain themselves.

Nothing more is expected. No favour in return, no report, no condition. If a family later tells others of its own accord, that makes Aline happy. It is not expected.

Why draw lots?

Because Aline doesn’t want to judge which family “deserves it most”. Every family that reaches out has its reasons, and they weigh heavily. A lot is more honest than a judgement: it takes nothing from anyone and gives one family a beginning, every month.

How it works

One draw a month, always on the first weekday.

Now: Enter your e-mail address below. The short questionnaire then comes to you by e-mail: three or four questions, two minutes. It is not a test and not a selection. It only helps Aline understand what your family needs right now. Whoever has filled it in is in the draw.
The evening before the draw: Sign-up closes at midnight. Everything that has arrived by then counts for the coming draw.
On the first weekday: Aline draws one family, entirely without regard to person. That same day, everyone hears from her, drawn or not.
Not drawn?: The pot starts empty every month. Whoever wants to stay in simply signs up again, as often as it feels right.
